Last update: March 2025

1. About Campercontact

You can reserve your overnight accommodation via the Campercontact website and app. If you make a booking via our website, the host – the owner or manager – will make the site available to you. You can use the Campercontact reservation system via the website and app. Campercontact thereby mediates in the conclusion of a travel agreement between you and the host. The host – the actual provider of the site – is always the one who makes the site you have reserved available to you.

Campercontact's full name is ‘Campercontact B.V.’ and it is registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 89023455.

You can also find us using the following details:

Registered address: Oliemolenhof 18A, 3812 PB Amersfoort

Email: info@campercontact.com

2. Accommodation via Campercontact

If you make a reservation for an overnight stay via the booking system on our website and/or app, you can choose from various types of accommodation at campsites or motorhome stopovers. Campercontact defines ‘accommodations’ as pitches suitable for your motorhome.

3. Pets

In most cases, hosts will ask for a fee for your pets to stay.

4. Information on Campercontact

We do our best to inform you correctly, but it is possible that information on our website is accidentally incorrect. Campercontact has a digital process for reporting these types of inaccuracies. In this way, users can work with us to ensure the quality of the information. As soon as we receive a change request, our team of moderators will correct the erroneous information.

5. Reviews

On our website you will find reviews from guests who have visited and booked the site. Guests who book through this platform receive a request to review the site shortly after their stay. Campercontact posts the reviews on the day the guest submits it. If you find a review inappropriate, you can always let us know at info@campercontact.com. Our team of moderators will investigate your report and may remove the review. In addition to human moderation, Campercontact also uses AI to scan reviews for inappropriate language.

For more information about our terms of use, please refer to the Terms of Use for Consumers.

6. Booking and your details

As soon as you complete the booking form on the website or in the app for accommodation in a certain period with the stated price by clicking the order button, a booking is made (hereinafter: ‘booking’).

You will immediately receive a confirmation of your booking via email. This confirmation is your booking confirmation. It will include the final departure and arrival times.

We will ask for your details during the booking process. We trust that these details are correct. You are liable for the obligations that follow from the travel agreement. Your (fellow) guests are each liable for their own part of the agreement. We will handle your details with care: We process your personal data that you provide during the booking process in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and our Privacy Statement. When you make a booking, we pass on your personal data to the host. We also ask the host and associated software to handle your personal data carefully and in compliance with the applicable regulations.

7. Travel sum and other costs

The prices shown for the use of the accommodation or a package are the prices for 2 people and a motorhome per night, including tourist tax. Prices may change. The costs for surcharges, options and extras are stated in the booking process.

Service costs

The service costs are €2.50 per booking. These costs help to guarantee the smooth operation of our platform and to provide support to our guests and landlords.

8. Discounts

Possible discounts are shown during the booking process. It is not possible to combine discounts. In the booking process, one discount is automatically selected, which is the discount that offers the most benefit to you. If a last-minute or early-bird discount applies, no other discount will be calculated.

9. Payment

An immediate booking: You guarantee your booking by paying for it immediately. The payment is 100% of the travel sum, reservation costs and any additional items ordered. After you have paid the full travel sum, you will receive a receipt via email stating that the travel sum due has been paid.

Booking on request: Some sites operate on a booking on request basis. Once your request has been approved, you pay the site directly. Depending on the site manager's method of operation, you may pay in advance or on the day of arrival.

10. No cancellation

After you as the booker have agreed to these terms and conditions and have finalised and paid for the booking details, you will receive a notification that the booking is final. This means that the agreement has been made online via our website or app. Immediately after the booking, Campercontact will send a confirmation by e-mail to the e-mail address of the lead booker. We assume that the confirmation has reached the lead booker when he or she has been able to take note of it, or could reasonably have taken note of it. Bookings via our app or website are final and not options.

The so-called ‘cooling-off period’, which is referred to in the ‘distance selling’ law, does not apply to the travel agreement that you book via our site or app.

10.1 Double terms and conditions after a direct booking

After booking, the site manager may automatically send his or her general booking conditions. In this case, the Campercontact terms and conditions will prevail.

11. Cancellation

11.1 Cancellation more than 30 days prior to arrival for a direct booking

A paid booking can be cancelled up to 30 days before the arrival date. The full amount of the reservation will be refunded, including the service costs.

Cancellation within 30 days of arrival for direct bookings

If the guest decides to cancel the paid booking within 30 days of the arrival date, 100% of the travel sum will be charged.

11.2. Cancelling a booking made on request.

If the guest wishes to cancel a booking made on request, this must be agreed with the location manager. Additional conditions may also apply.

12. Changing your booking

The date of your booking cannot always be changed.

This is because a different price rate may apply on another day or there may be no availability. In this case, you should contact the campsite or motorhome stopover where you have made a booking.

If changes are not possible, you can decide whether to stick to your booking or to cancel it. If you do not make a choice or do not respond in time, the original booking will apply.

13. Changes by the host

The host can change the travel agreement due to important circumstances. These are circumstances that make it unreasonable to expect the host to be able to fulfil the travel agreement. The host will try to come up with a suitable solution. If this is not possible, we can cancel the booking in consultation with the host and the full amount of the booking will be refunded to you. Please contact us at booking@campercontact.com.

14. Obligations of your host

Your host has all the necessary permits and has taken out the necessary insurance policies to cover damage caused by fire, flooding, storm and any other external calamity, as well as third-party liability. Your host is obliged to fulfil the travel agreement in accordance with the information on the website and as stated in the booking confirmation, unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing between you and the host. Your host will compensate you for any damage to your travel enjoyment caused by the host's failure to fulfil the travel agreement. The maximum amount of compensation you can hold your host liable for is the rental sum paid by you. You will not receive compensation if the damage is not the fault of your host, or the person whose help he uses in the execution of the agreement, because:

  1. you yourself are responsible for the damage caused;
  2. unforeseen circumstances for the host or a third party involved in the execution of the travel agreement;
  3. force majeure as defined by law.

15. Limitation of liability

The host also accepts no liability for damage for which a claim for compensation exists under cancellation insurance. The guest will use the accommodation at their own risk. The host is not liable for any unforeseen inconvenience caused by activities in the vicinity of the accommodation, nor for noise pollution caused by traffic, animals or from buildings or grounds. In that case, his liability is unlimited. The exclusions and/or limitations of the host's liability included in this article also apply to employees of the host, Campercontact and service providers involved, as well as their personnel, unless excluded by treaty or law.

16. Obligations of the guest

Upon arrival at the accommodation, you must be in possession of a valid reservation and/or legally valid identification. You must abide by the instructions and house rules of the host. You must leave your site in the same condition as you found it at the start of your stay.

Complaints?

The travel agreement and other agreements are subject to Dutch law. We would be sorry to hear that you are not satisfied. Do you have any complaints about the site? Please let your host know as soon as possible, preferably during your stay. The site manager will look into your complaints and work with you to find a suitable solution. If you are unable to reach a solution with the host, please let us know. We will then try to achieve a solution together with you. You can also reach us by e-mail: booking@campercontact.com. If you have any complaints about our website or the booking process, please let us know as soon as possible. We will be happy to help.
