Etna was beautiful, but the parking lot has absolutely no amenities and costs 25 euros for one day if you stay overnight, otherwise 17 euros. Even the restrooms were closed. The parking spaces are all slanted. It was very quiet, though.

I spent two days here at the end of December. Lots of cars during the day. From 4 p.m. it gets quieter until around 8 a.m. Great view on a clear day. Daily fee 12€
