Every spring, the island of Texel transforms into a true paradise for lambs. The island, known for its ‘Texel’ sheep breed, welcomes thousands of lambs that brighten up the meadows with their playful leaps. With more sheep than residents, Texel is the perfect place to admire these fluffy newcomers.
To find out where the lambs are located, there is the Lammetjesradar (Lamb Radar), a handy tool that shows the locations where the lambs can be seen every day. This is a collaboration between eleven Texel sheep farmers and the Texel tourist information centre. Together, these farmers have around 3,500 sheep that raise more than 8,000 lambs every year. The Lamb Radar helps you find the best places to spot these young animals.
For a more interactive experience, visit the Sheep Farm Texel, located on the edge of the Hoge Berg. Here you can not only cuddle lambs, but also attend sheepdog herding demonstrations. A unique opportunity to experience farm life up close and learn more about sheep farming on Texel.

Every spring, the Bulb Region is transformed into a colourful spectacle of blooming flowers. One of the highlights is the Flower Parade, which in 2025 which will take place on Saturday 12 April. During this event, a parade of beautifully decorated floats, completely covered in flowers, travels along a 42-kilometre route from Noordwijk to Haarlem. The procession will also pass the famous Keukenhof, where you can admire the floats at the main entrance.
Keukenhof, open from 20 March to 11 May 2025, is the world's largest flower garden and offers an impressive collection of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and other spring flowers. In addition to the beautiful gardens, there are various flower shows and events to enjoy.
